The commercial center of gravity has shifted east of downtown to the I-20 corridor, Exits 90 and 92, where GA-142 and GA-81 carry the retail and light-industrial frontage. Beyond that is Stanton Springs, the multi-county industrial megasite that straddles Newton, Walton, and Morgan counties — home to a Takeda pharmaceutical manufacturing plant and a Meta data center campus, plus the supporting warehouse and logistics space that kind of anchor tenant pulls in behind it.
